Audio Video Pro is an online magazine for anyone working professionally with video or sound.
The site covers trends, technology, tools and techniques from across the world of broadcasting, and video and audio content creation.
It is not an industry or trade magazine, although it does cover key industry issues.
Rather, it is a resource for professional media practitioners including producers, directors, sound recordists and engineers, videographers and video journalists and anyone using sound or video for reporting or for the web. From time to time, we will also cover key developments in film and cinema, as well as related fields such as screenwriting, editorial policy, financing projects and making a living from working in audio-visual media.
We welcome ideas, suggestions, (constructive) criticism, suggestions for reviews and links to readers’ own work. The editor also welcomes footage or audio from any of the equipment mentioned for evaluation and possible use on the site. Every recording or shoot is different, and this site is all about real-world reporting conditions, not lab tests.
The site editor is Stephen Pritchard, a journalist for more than 21 years, with over 12 years’ experience in broadcasting.
Reviews policy
Audio Video Pro accepts equipment for review, but is not responsible for any unsolicited equipment we receive. If you are a manufacturer and want to submit equipment or software for review or use in a Technique article, please contact us by email in the first instance.
Contributions policy
Audio Video Pro welcomes articles contributed both by professional journalists and writers, and industry professionals. If you are interested in writing for us, please email your ideas and some background. It’s best to talk to us at an early stage, especially if your idea needs extensive studio time or location-based filming.
Please note that we do not accept payment for guest posts. If you are an industry executive and want to write an article, please contact us with your idea in the first instance. If the article has editorial merit, we will accept it on that basis.
Information for PR professionals
Please send any PR information to [email protected] (UK) or [email protected] (international). We can’t promise to respond to every email, but will do our best to read them.
